The 2004 Battlegrounds campaign, What’s Your Battleground? took the BG concept a few steps further. As usual there was a fierce one-on-one streetball tournament with 8 of the best street ballers around. This time they weren’t competing for the title of King of the Court, but for King of the World. For the first time athletes from around the globe were battling for the crown. Also included were NBA players, streetball legends and NikeBasketball.com users alike telling us their personal stories about their own Battlegrounds while growing up.

Nike Basketball: Huarache 2K4

The Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 feature had two interwoven sides to it, Evolution and Inspiration. On the Evolution side users were able to see the 8 predecessor shoes that were used to inspire and create this new elite hoops shoe. On the Inspiration side users could create their own unique shoe by using Nike iD. To take the inspiration side further we displayed the Nike colorways for all the Nike sponsored teams that made it to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in our own bracket. So if you just wanted to show your school spirit on your feet, it was just a couple clicks away.
